Competitive Salary Department: Chief Operating Officer’s Department Section: Human Resources Reports to: Graduate, Apprentice and Recruitment Co-ordinator DBS Not required Job Purpose: 1. Support the Recruitment Team to provide a high quality, customer-focused recruitment service. 2. Assist in the management and delivery of effective recruitment and selection services including advertising jobs, co-ordinating and participating in selection procedures, implementing all pre-employment checks and issuing contracts of employment. 3. Assist with the implementation and monitoring of service standards relating to recruitment and selection and produce monitoring reports. 4. Assist in the regular review of recruitment and selection procedures and practices to ensure their continued effectiveness. Knowledge and Qualifications: • Knowledge of recruitment and selection best practice • Knowledge of recruitment processes and basic employment legislation and how this impacts on recruitment and selection • Be prepared to undertake continuous professional development relevant to recruitment and selection. • Possession of or willing to obtain relevant practising certificate(s) in psychometric, aptitude and ability testing system, preferably Saville & Holdsworth or willing to be trained Experience: • Some experience of undertaking recruitment and selection activities in a large complex organisation • Experience of carrying out pre-employment screening activities • Experience of administrative and information systems. • Experience in utilising ICT (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and recruitment packages) • Experience of integrating the principles of equal opportunity and diversity considerations into all recruitment and assessment services Skills and Abilities: • Ability to draft simple recruitment advertisements and job packs, letters and contracts of employment • Ability to communicate effectively in person with a wide range of internal and external contacts including managers applicants, potential employees, service managers and advertising agencies and media • Ability to engender trust and confidence and demonstrate probity and integrity in the provision of advice and support • Ability to carry out simple research, prepare and present information clearly and concisely in writing and verbally
