We have an exciting opportunity for someone to inspire, develop and lead the delivery of membership recruitment across our brand new Sherwood Forest Reserve. Membership Recruitment Manager Reference number: A0770518 Location: Nottinghamshire Salary starting at £22,073 - £23,912 per annum Hours: Full time Contract: Permanent Situated in Nottinghamshire, Sherwood Forest is one of the most iconic British landscapes, home to incredible ancient oak forest and the legend of Robin Hood. The site attracts over 300,000 visitors per year and our brand new visitor centre will give us the opportunity to engage with a whole range of new audiences and inspire them about nature and the work of the RSPB. Nature is in big trouble, but we've got big plans to save it, can you help us? From now until 2030, the RSPB will be focusing on some ambitious plans and targets - working together with the public and its partners to collectively change the fate of nature. The successful candidate will become part of the team at Sherwood Forest and will lead and manage a team of volunteers, as well as building capacity within the wider site teams, to deliver a great welcome, ensure visitors have a fantastic visit and maximise support for nature through membership. You should be a people person with the experience of delivering great customer care and meeting targets, alongside a real passion for wildlife and for sharing experiences of nature with others. Being well organised with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences is also essential. Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate through a comprehensive induction period. Flexibility within the role is essential as the successful post will need to work 3 our of 4 weekends, bank holidays and occasional unsociable hours as and when required.
