At SweetTree we have an exciting opportunity for a HR & Recruitment Officer to work as part of the HR team providing high quality support & advice to ensure that we attract, recruit and retain the right staff. The successful candidate in liaison with the HR Manager and the Recruitment Manager, will be responsible for undertaking the recruitment of candidates; planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations, HR policies, programs and practices. You are also expected to provide general advice and support on the employment and management of all SweetTree employees. Key tasks will include: * Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help with the strategic goals of the organisation * Manage the maternity and sickness programmes for SweetTree * Track and report on new joiner probationary periods and manage the probation period reviews with line managers * Assist with the joiners and leavers process within HR and liaise with the teams to ensure that details and contract amendments are advised. Manage the process where employees have not worked or been in touch for longer than a 3 month period * Assist with the end to end recruitment process from creating new job advertisements, screening candidates, scheduling interviews and issuing offer letters * Promote our job opportunities through various means including the use of job boards, social media, recruitment fairs etc. * Coordinate with managers to forecast our future hiring needs to keep the service operating smoothly * Present at group interviews and conduct professional, robust and engaging interviews; both face to face and via telephone Skills and Experience * Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a HR environment at an operational level, supporting a growing business and ideally CIPD Qualified to level 5 undergraduate level. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to juggle priorities and make effective decisions quickly * Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases * Able to implement and work with KPI’s and SLA’s and a familiarity with budget management * Confident in handling the entire recruitment process from start to finish with a good knowledge of employment legislation, understanding of the candidate journey and using social media for recruitment Working hours will be 37.5 weekly and the annual salary is competitive
