This Graduate Recruitment & Development Manager vacancy represents a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Graduate Recruitment professional in London. We have been instructed on a new vacancy with a top tier US and international law firm based in the city. The firm is looking to hire a Graduate Recruitment & Development Manager on a 12 month contract to cover maternity. They are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm for Graduate Recruitment and who wants to take on a varied role with lots of responsibility. The role will work closely with the current Director and will have plenty of freedom to bring in new ideas. It’s a very busy, challenging and exciting opportunity to join a prestigious US law firm here in London. Salary is being pitched at £60-70,000 per annum + full firm benefits and this is negotiable and dependent upon experience. Responsibilities include: • Overseeing all trainees through their training contract, including seat allocation, reviews and qualification, as well as career counselling / general support. • Establishing and managing the relationship between the firm and target universities, academics, careers advice centres, advertisers and groups and societies within the student population. • Reviewing all graduate applications, selecting those suitable for assessment days or interviews, resourcing and managing all assessment and selection processes to offer stage. • Organising vacation schemes including events; seat rotations; presentations and assessments. • Ensuring that future trainees are kept regularly up to date with firm news and that issues surrounding the GDL or LPC are managed effectively. • Being fully involved in setting and maintaining the UK graduate recruitment & US summer associate budget, ensuring that expenditure remains on target. • Monitoring competitors and ensuring the firm are constantly improving their approach. • Working with the practice groups and PSLs to develop the trainee training programme. Successful candidates will have previous Graduate Recruiting experiences gained from a City or US law firm, strong communications skills and the ability to work across all levels as well as developing an excellent rapport with students, the ability to think critically and proactively as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality, reliability and enthusiasm.
