An exciting opportunity is available from our Southampton office as a trainee recruitment consultant within the construction sector. Who we are? The Shore Group is a leading, privately owned, recruitment agency, specialising in providing temporary and permanent staff to the construction, mechanical & electrical and retail sectors. We have grown rapidly since our formation in 2008 – our recruitment division will have 2017 turnover in excess of £60M, paying over 2000 operatives every week. Our 4-year plan is equally exciting and ambitious, growing from 75 to over 120 internal staff, expanding to new offices across the UK, doubling turnover and operative numbers. Job Title: Trainee Consultant Location: Southampton town Centre Hours: 8.00 – 17.30pm Offer: £19,000 - £22,000 1% Bonus 22-days annual leave iPhone The role holder will be responsible for sourcing and selecting potential new candidates within a designated area and industry sector. You will also be responsible for regular contact with operatives working on sites, both working for TSG and competitors. After inhouse training, you will also be liaising with clients regarding new requirements and projects to develop additional revenue. What you will be doing? * Entry level into 360 recruitments * Administration and data entry ensuring 90% compliance * Source suitable CVs / candidates using online portals and advertisements * Develop relations with candidates and grow a strong candidate database * Learn industry specific terminology and build relationships with clients * Adhering to timesheet deadlines and ensuring all operatives are paid correctly * Responsible for all resourcing recruitment activity including advert placing, compliance, referencing and trade checks * Aftercare and management of operatives working on sites What skills and experience you might need? Strong administration and data entry skills Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet (social media platforms) Experience of dealing with clients and customers over the phone Experience in construction/m&e trades (desirable) Time management and organisational skills Communication skills, both verbal and written The Core Competencies Organisation, Adaptability, Communication, Team work, Understanding of Industry sector, Management of Customer Requirements, Adherence to Company Standards. And some role specific Competencies Resourcing, Taking Instructions, Information technology, attention to detail, Willingness to learn and a desire to progress
